What Is A Lease Extension Agreement?
A Lease Extension Agreement is used to extend the lease on a property. This legally binding document is concluded between a landlord and a tenant before the lease expiration date. Just like an ordinary lease agreement, the document defines the terms and conditions for a property lease. Before signing the agreement, the parties provide their personal information, the address of the property, period of extension and date of the agreement. They have to sign the document as well. The completed and signed agreement is kept by the parties and their lawyers (if applicable).
