The plates will be affixed to vehicles registered in the applicant’s name only and must be used only for purposes associated with the affiliation represented by the plate. Some of the professions that may qualify for a Special Interest License Plate include taxidermist, cook, doctor, attorney, and architect.

What is a REG 17 Form?

The Washington State Department of Licensing (DOL) is now accepting applications for special interest license plates. The new plates will be available starting in 2019. Special interest license plates are available to support organizations or activities that promote the economic, social, and environmental well-being of Washington residents. There are a variety of plate options available, including custom vanity plates and registration renewal stickers. The DOL will accept applications through its website until November 30th, 2018.
